Peilung
A field navigation kit for Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad.
For finding your way on foot — hiking, geocaching or orienteering. A compass that takes and holds a bearing, navigation to a point, a distance odometer, your coordinates and saved marks, all in one app, on the wrist or in the hand. No account, no network, no ads.
Take and hold a bearing
Point twelve o'clock at a landmark and lock it, or dial one off a map, then follow it. The watch taps a rising or falling pattern to turn you back on line when you drift.
Navigate to a point
An arrow aims at your goal and turns green when you are on it; within about ten meters it shows a flag and taps once to say you have arrived.
A distance odometer
Start it, walk, and glance back whenever. It counts from the watch's own steps, so it costs no battery between glances and survives the app closing.
Shared, and offline
Goal, marks, odometer and settings sync between watch and phone, and each works with no network and no account.
